Jim and Madge Fletcher Lone Star Santas® Hall of Fame
The Executive Board has established the Lone Star Santas® Hall of Fame in 2026.
The Lone Star Santas® Hall of Fame is established as an annual award to promote the vision, charitable nature and Christmas spirit demonstrated by Lone Star Santas.
Jim and Madge Fletcher were instrumental in establishing Lone Star Santas® and were the Inaugural Inductees into the LSS Hall of Fame at Roundup 2026. They have consistently exhibited the ideals of the above purpose statement, in an exemplary fashion. They were the inaugural inductees into the Lone Star Santas® Hall of Fame and the award is henceforth called the Jim and Madge Fletcher Lone Star Santas® Hall of Fame.
Nominating requirements and criteria:
- Candidate must have at least 10 years of consecutive active, in good standing membership in Lone Star Santas.
- The nominating person must be someone other than the candidate.
- The submission documents must show:
- An overview of the years of service and types of events of the candidate as a Christmas performer.
- Five letters of recommendation with no more than three recommendation letters coming from the Lone Star Santas community. The remaining recommendations should come from “outside” sources (i.e., customers, booking agents, community leaders, etc.).
- The candidate must show evidence of promoting LSS in a variety of ways including but not limited to recruiting and/or mentoring new members, participating in multiple COT’s, spearheading fund raising events that generate additional funds and toys for Lone Star Santas, service on committees, and serving on the Executive Board. If any candidate is currently serving on the Executive Board they must recuse themselves from all Executive Board discussions on this matter.
