Santa Santa G. B. Pillans

This Christmas will be my first time stepping into the big red suit, and I can already feel the excitement—building. Becoming Santa isn’t just about wearing the iconic outfit; it’s about bringing joy, wonder, and a little holiday magic to those around me. Thankfully, I have experience working with children through my church as well as volunteering at children’s camp. I’ve seen firsthand how kids light up when they feel heard and valued, and I hope to bring that same energy into my Santa role. Whether it’s listening to their Christmas wishes, answering their curious questions, or simply sharing a warm smile, I want to make each child’s experience special. I’ll be sitting for photos and making home visits, which means I’ll get to meet children in all kinds of settings—some excited, some shy, and some determined to test my Santa credentials. Will my “Ho, Ho, Ho” be convincing? Will I survive the inevitable beard tugs? No doubt, there will be surprises. More than anything, I hope to create moments of pure Christmas magic, the kind that sticks with kids for years to come. As I prepare for this new adventure, I’m filled with anticipation. This will be my first year as Santa with Mrs. Claus at my side, but with any luck, it won’t be my last.
